This is a shot from a roof top ( the Cataract Movie House ) looking down Falls Street towards the Falls in the south end of Niagara Falls, New York . This is when the "City" was a busy place with working Hotels, Restaurants, and Shops that the people of Niagara could use. Then came Urban Renewal .

This Daguerreotype was found at an estate sale last summer. A warm image of a brother and sister both seated early 1850s .I haven't cleaned the mat or glass yet this is just one of the 20 Daguerreian images I bought at that sale .
