The Image above is from our collection of Mammoth Albumem Plate work (32w. x 23h. a one piece print).This is very rare photographic image by Gicomo Brogi 1822-1881 in the original restored frame. This is not one of the standard tourist photos that you can find anywhere ,but a true work of art by this master photographer and truely a technical masterpiece.Both Brogi and the Alinari Brothers worked as photographers and took the standard architecture ruins photos in Italy most being small 8"x10" albumen prints ,but they did art photography also and to find or see one is a rare treat.This piece shows three men in a row boat on the Tiber River with Castel Saint`Angelo ( Mausoleum of Adrian ) on the right and the Saint`Angelo bridge to the castle in the middle in the far distance you can see St. Peter's Dome.All images on this web site are the copyrighted property of Gibbs Books any unauthorized duplication of art work images or book images will be prosecuted fully.
