1st. Edition 1863 , Brown cloth hardcover with gilded letters to the front board , 47 page book with the very rare fold - out color map of the battle of Gettysburg . This is the earliest published accounts of the Battle of Gettysburg by Professor Jacobs and teacher at Gettysburg College and resident of Gettysburg. Professor Jacobs was a resident during the battle and was very familiar with the topography of the battle grounds. The addition of the folded taken from actual measurement that enhances the book. A first hand knowledge of the invasion and battle at Gettysburg. Condition : Fine edge rubs at the bottom bump at the bottom spine and back top back board all pages complete . The map is attached and has a rip at the fold about 3" and has been repaired. First owner has signed and dated the title page and inside the front board .
